What Types of Powertrains are Available in the Hyundai Kona?

The subcompact Hyundai Kona is the perfect vehicle for driving your errands around Grand Rapids or for extended trips across the country. The Kona is a five-seat vehicle with two optional drive systems. Your intended driving use dictates the selection of your drive system.

Every trim level of the Hyundai Kona comes standard with a front-wheel-drive system. The front-wheel-drive system gives power to only the two front wheels which pull the vehicle along the road rather than push like a rear-wheel-drive unit. The Kona comes with an option for an all-wheel-drive system. With an all-wheel-drive system, power is delivered to all four wheels, and the system is intelligent enough to recognize when a wheel is slipping and will deliver power to the tire with traction instead.

At Fox Hyundai, we maintain and service both powertrains used in the Hyundai Kona to ensure proper traction when you are on the road.
